Job Description
The Quality Manager is tasked with the responsibility to develop, implement, and manage quality control systems to ensure all company products meet consumer expectations and demands. Specific daily duties for this position include managing a team of quality engineers and technicians and inspecting products to ensure conformity throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Upper Management, Product Design & Development, Manufacturing, and the customer to set quality standards
- Create and drive a quality mindset
- Manage a team of quality engineers and technicians
- Identify the root cause of issues and report findings
- Work together with manufacturing to increase productivity and performance of the production line while maintaining accuracy in quality
- Problem-solving using data and hands-on experience
- Manage quality and warranty improvement activities
- Collaborate with department management to develop quality systems
- Get involved in long-term business and strategic planning at the managerial and executive levels.
Skills and abilities for success in this position:
- Must have knowledge of quality systems, quality functions, production processes, and budgets
- Strong lean manufacturing experience, especially in continuous improvement, elimination of waste, 5S, Kaizen events, and visual management
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented
- Must have a team-oriented mindset and be able to communicate in front of groups of employees and peers
- Improve the business processes for each department through analysis and collaboration
- Able to plan, direct and delegate work to others, assess performance, and make improvements or take corrective action
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to work with minimum direction and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to develop positive working relationships with both internal and external customers

Qualifications
Knowledge, Education, and or Experience required:
- Four (4) year post-secondary education or courses with an operations management, manufacturing, or quality focus
- Minimum of 4-8 years of supervisory or management experience in a medium to fast-paced manufacturing/operations environment.
- Strong computer skills in order to analyze, organize and present data and information using Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint)
- Fluent in the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced in ISO 9000 or above, preferred.
- Power Bi or AIM experience Able to run meetings and communicate effectively with Management and Production teams.
- Must be a licensed driver with a good driving record (subject to MVR) and the ability to travel occasionally.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature occasionally.
- Must be able to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds when necessary.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
