Summary
Responsible to support the overall quality management system. Guides and supports the organization for implementation and compliance of the QMS requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works with Operations to ensure that all applicable QMS procedures and processes related to ISO 9001/ IATF 16949 requirements and any customer specific requirements are implemented and complied with Works with Engineering and Program management to ensure the Organization meets all customer APQP and timeline requirements. Prepares, reviews, or supports the organization for ensuring that the customer PPAP requirements are met including capability and MSA studies. Supports the preparations of Flow Charts, FMEA’s, Control Plans and Process Work Instructions. Reviews and supports the corrective actions to improve the overall performance of the organization. Implement and maintain the customer related KPI’s for developing actions to improve overall performance of the organization. Recommends changes to the QMS that would improve organizations quality performance. Communicate issues to the top management on a regular basis with concise and clear information. Actively participates and contributes in the continuous improvement initiatives and projects. Conduct QMS audits Act as a customer liaison as required Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - 18 years of age or older with the ability to work extended hours - Must be able to prove United States work eligibility - Demonstrates the skills required or aptitude and motivation to master the required skills, essential duties, and responsibilities with reasonable supervision and training - Preferred Education and/or Experience, but not required: Engineering Degree and/or minimum 5 years of experience in automotive quality and/or Associates Degree with 8 to 10 years of experience in automotive quality - Must have experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point - Must have knowledge in the core tools of quality-APQP, SPC, FMEA, MSA, PPAP etc. - Must have good interactive people skills - Must have training in ISO 9001-2015/IATF 16949-2016 Standard requirements and auditing Competency and Awareness If required, must be competent and/or aware of the B Drive within 30 days of placement (reference the general training matrix). Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employees will mostly be in a typical office setting with some exposure to the noise and vibration coming from the adjoining plant. Work Schedule The normal business hours of the Company are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Plant schedules vary according to customer requirements, non-exempt plant, production employees, and certain support staff often will be required to work overtime including weekends.
