Summary
The Production Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring of all stampings, welding and assemblies, collecting data and documentation of data, he/she is also responsible for the conformance of our products to the customer requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensure first piece is approved and recorded on the inspection sheets Perform and record all quality checks on the appropriate inspection sheets for the inspection or test required Verify lot traceability is recorded correctly, the operator is on the training record and is on the quality alert training record Any nonconformance on product and inaccurate inspection sheets, stop the work center, and notify your immediate supervisor and/or quality supervisor and follow direction given Any nonconformance to a work instruction notify your immediate supervisor Verify Check Fixtures are within calibration requirements, clean and maintained, any nonconformance to the check fixture, stop the work center, and notify your immediate supervisor and/or quality supervisor and follow direction given If last off is required, ensure that it is recorded, identified and retained with the fixture, any nonconformance, notify your immediate supervisor and/or quality supervisor and follow direction given Actively contributes to and participates in continuous improvements and run production as required Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - 18 years of age or older with the ability to work extended hours - Must be able to prove United States work eligibility - Must be well versed in all quality related policies and procedures - Must demonstrate the ability to perform production in the work center you are assigned to - Demonstrates the skills required or aptitude and motivation to master the required skills, essential duties, and responsibilities with reasonable supervision and training - Demonstrate the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. If required by job, must demonstrate the ability to write simple correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the company Competency and Awareness If required, must be competent and/or aware of the B Drive within 30 days of placement (reference the general training matrix). Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration and noise from industrial machinery and equipment. Work Schedule The normal business hours of the Company are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. Plant schedules vary according to customer requirements, non-exempt plant, production employees, and certain support staff often will be required to work overtime including weekends.
